We all want an easy and stress free life. That's hardly controversial. But that's not how it works out. We do meet stress and trouble all the time. Sometimes they can be the result of very serious events, not the little irritations that get under our skin.

That's where we as a family are right now. I'm not going to get into details about the specific events that have taken place. Suffice it to say that we feel under enormous pressure. How do we react to that? By doing the best we can, sticking together and importantly, trying to keep as normal a life going as we can.
And that's where the garage door comes in.
We've been talking about replacing the garage door for years. It was tired, literally falling to bits around the frame. We put it off for higher priority work around the house. But then the time came. We needed a new garage door and decided to make enquiries.
Then, events took a very serious turn. A family crisis gripped us and everything else was dropped. That crisis continues, although it's fair to say that it's lessened from it's most serious point. We enacted coping strategies, tried to get sleep, remember to eat and be organised with the everyday stuff of living. In a modified way, we try to have some normality in our lives.
So we decided that normality included the new garage door.
After a few searches online, I asked Jenni and Matt to 'take over' the garage door topic. They visited the showroom of Mansfield Garage Doors (i), a local company established in 1968. They were very impressed by the displays and staff there and we ordered a door from them.
A few weeks later, the door was fitted. It's great. But here's the thing - Mansfield Garage Doors were friendly, understanding and professional. They 'got it right first time'. Everything is as it it should be. Normal. I can't recommend Mansfield Garage Doors enough to you.

The crisis continues, but some balance has been re-established due to a garage door and a company that cares. Some faith in people has returned. All of this may seem strange to you, the reader. But when faced with the most serious of life events, I would ask you to keep some of the normality of your life if you can. That's not easy, but it can be done. I feel better by it.
